- Selected as a project under KISA’s “2025 AI Security Promising Enterprise Support Program” – leveraging 120 existing CCTV cameras for a two-month pilot.
- Aims to secure a large-scale demonstration case within an industrial complex and lay the foundation for full-scale commercialization.

Physical security and industrial safety AI specialist EdgeDX announced that, with support from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), it has deployed a next-generation AI industrial safety system at Hanmi Fine Chemical, a subsidiary of Hanmi Group specializing in active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Over the next two months, the company will conduct a full-scale pilot project.
This initiative follows EdgeDX’s selection for commercialization under KISA’s “2025 AI Security Promising Enterprise Support Program.” The core of the project is to integrate the 120 CCTV cameras already installed at the Hanmi Fine Chemical plant with AI Bridge—EdgeDX’s Edge × Generative Hybrid AI-based contextual safety management solution—transforming them into an intelligent safety management system. Through this pilot, EdgeDX aims to validate the stability and effectiveness of its technology in industrial environments, while establishing one of the first large-scale demonstration cases in domestic industrial complexes, laying the groundwork for commercialization.
‘AI Bridge’: Hybrid AI (Edge × Generative) with Contextual Understanding
The centerpiece of this pilot is AI Bridge, an active industrial safety platform that analyzes CCTV footage in real time to detect safety threats and take preventive action.
At the heart of this system is EdgeDX’s proprietary Hybrid AI (Edge × Generative) technology. Unlike traditional object recognition, this solution comprehensively understands video data in context and predicts potential risk situations. It can accurately detect more than 30 types of complex safety threats, including:
Fire & smoke / Worker collapse / No PPE / Liquid spill detection / Unsafe postures (e.g., heavy load carrying) / Mobile phone usage / Machinery entrapment
When a risk is detected, real-time alerts are sent immediately via mobile app or cloud dashboard. In addition, on-site speakers can broadcast automatic warnings, and machinery within danger zones can be automatically stopped, effectively preventing accidents at the source.
A Shift in Industrial Safety Paradigms Expected Through Successful Pilot
An EdgeDX representative commented:
“It is very meaningful to conduct a large-scale demonstration with Hanmi Fine Chemical, one of Korea’s leading companies, under KISA’s support. By successfully completing this pilot, we will prove the technological capabilities of AI Bridge and create a landmark success case that helps shift the safety management paradigm in Korea’s industrial sites.”
Meanwhile, EdgeDX will showcase the core technologies of AI Bridge—developed as part of this commercialization project—at the 2025 Korea Safety & Construction Expo, to be held from September 17 to 19 at KINTEX Exhibition Center I. At its booth (No. 3M41), visitors will be able to experience firsthand the innovation of its solutions through live demonstrations and real-world application cases.
