EdgeDX Selected as One of the ‘Innovation Premier 1000’ Companies

[Security News Reporter Eom Ho-sik] Edge AI video analytics solution company EdgeDX announced on the 22nd that it has been officially selected as one of the "Innovation Premier 1000" companies—a joint initiative led by the Financial Services Commission and 13 government ministries.

The Innovation Premier 1000 program consolidates various existing government support schemes to intensively support promising companies in each industry. Through the collaboration of the financial and industrial sectors, it aims to identify and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies with high innovation and growth potential. Selection is based on a comprehensive evaluation of R&D capabilities, infrastructure, business performance, and marketability. After selection, companies receive tailored financial and non-financial support through policy financial institutions.

EdgeDX develops and manufactures high-performance AI chip-based video analytics devices and has implemented video security and intelligent recognition projects across various industries and public sectors in Korea and overseas. Especially, by combining generative AI-based VLM technology into a hybrid AI analysis structure, the company has demonstrated its technical capabilities in diverse application areas, such as security, logistics, transportation, and industrial safety, through advanced contextual analysis.

According to the Financial Services Commission, the policy financial institutions participating in the first round of the 2025 Innovation Premier 1000 program include the Korea Development Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea, Export-Import Bank of Korea, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and Korea Growth Investment Corporation. Selected companies will receive not only funding but also consulting, market access, R&D linkage, and other forms of close support from these institutions.

Additionally, each ministry will issue an "Innovation Premier Certificate" to the selected companies, and provide various privileges, such as additional points in R&D support programs and preferential policies. Support will also be coordinated with ministries such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Ministry of Environment.

With this selection, EdgeDX is set to receive broad, customized support until the end of 2026, including funding from policy financial institutions, global expansion support, and business strategy consulting. The company plans to further advance its edge AI technology and enhance its competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.
