Since 2023, local education offices have been actively deploying intelligent CCTV systems in schools to detect acts of violence. Each year, hundreds of schools install and operate intelligent CCTVs. However, since these systems have been installed and operated without undergoing certified testing by an accredited institution, there have been concerns that recognition performance issues prevent them from effectively supporting security operations.

To address this issue, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, introduced a new ‘School Safety’ certification category for intelligent CCTVs in September last year. This initiative aims to enhance security in schools by enabling prompt responses to incidents such as school violence, unauthorized intrusions, and fires.

‘AI Bridge’ is a product that incorporates advanced Edge AI analysis algorithms and software optimization, utilizing a third-generation crowd-sourcing approach.

This solution can receive up to 16 video streams from installed CCTV cameras and perform more than 30 types of video analytics, including fall detection, threat detection, and measurement of customer interest in displayed products. The analyzed results are transmitted in real-time to video monitoring systems (VMS), external mobile devices, or web servers, accompanied by snapshot images of incident moments.

The solution is equipped with real-time posture estimation technology, allowing it to track key body points such as gaze, hands, feet, and shoulders for precise behavioral analysis. It also combines multiple layers of deep learning analysis and vision recognition technology, minimizing false alarms while maintaining high object detection accuracy.
